Description

After mapping and inventorying the needs of small-scale, self-organised sustainability initiatives in Ivano-Frankivsk, Teple Misto will launch a series of engaging formats to foster local collaboration among and beyond professional silos, including: workshops, laboratories, residencies, courses, repair cafes, etc. That work will culminate in co-designing educational programmes and co-creating infrastructure for these initiatives during the City Scanning Session biennial in Ivano-Frankivsk. Two multi-disciplinary groups will also generate a systems-level view of the city’s sustainability challenges with the aim of addressing those challenges through local procurement, circular economies, and sustainable supply chains. Altogether, this prototype engages in capacity building through (re)appreciating, sharing, and applying sustainability skills while imagining new futures based on collaborative and participatory methods.

Hypothesis

The right infrastructure  provides a fruitful environment for innovative sustainable solutions that serve local communities.
