Description

Teple Misto (or “Warm City”) was established in 2014 with the mission of putting the city of Ivano-Frankivsk at the forefront of progressive social innovation in Ukraine and beyond. Powered by collaborations with local businesses, private actors, and international partners, Temple Misto functions as an incubator for grassroots urban change. Its most well-known programs include small grants for urban innovation, URBAN SPACE 100 (a combined restaurant, public space, and online radio station that also funds public projects), METALAB (an urban change laboratory), and the Promprylad.Renovation innovation centre.

Launch a series of highly engaging formats to foster local collaboration between and beyond traditional professional silos (workshops, laboratories, residencies, courses, makeatons, repair cafes, lectures, fairs, men’s shed etc).
Promote capacity building
Promote capacity building for (re)appreciating skills, sharing skills, putting skills into practical use, learning new skills and imagining the future based on such ways of working.
Form two cross sectoral groups
Form two cross sectoral groups to work on systems view and focus on sustainable change through enhancing local procurement, circular economies, and sustainable supply chains.
Co-designing educational programs
Co-designing educational programs and co-creating infrastructure for the needs of small-scale, self-organised initiatives during the City Scanning Session biennial in Ivano-Frankivsk.
Integrating best practices
Integrating best practices into soft and hard solutions in Promprylad. Renovation as a sustainable platform supporting initiatives and people as “convener” – a recruiter, coordinator, and curator of the site’s participants and associated activities and services.
